A little about myself
My name is Gavin Spencer and I'm excited to share my opinions and some factual data on this blog for all to see. I was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and still call that my home to this day. I attend Christopher Newport University and am a part of the baseball team here. The game of baseball has been a huge part of my life and my upbringing and still gives me the drive it did when I was younger at the age of 19. Other than the game of baseball here at Christopher Newport I am striving towards a degree in economics with a minor in business. I find these topics fascinating and believe that these two practices and ideas make the world go around every day.
I have a rather small family compared to most composed of just a singular cousin, two aunts, both pairs of grandparents, and then of course my immediate family. My mom Shelley, my dad Scott, and then my two sisters Reese and Quinn. Being the oldest brother of 2 younger sisters certainly has countless amount of arguments to come with it, but it's all in good time.
I absolutely love cheese pizza. I understand that sounds beyond idiotic for that to be someone's favorite food like maybe I should branch out a little? Absolutely not, it is something that will ignite my soul every time I take a bite. I believe the origins of my cheese pizza obsession started back at home at a local Italian restaurant called Ynot. Every Friday my family and I would have dinner at Ynot and I believe the consistency of this restaurant's pizza and how great it tasted just molded my tastebuds into pizza themselves.
More personal stuff about myself and the road I want to take this blog down is the game of baseball. This game is something I'm so far beyond passionate about and I adore getting the ins and outs of stories, trades, scores, and conference leaders. I plan on doing plenty of research on all MLB topics which could end up being about new recruits just coming into the pros, or top prospects about to be pulled into the big stage.
Living in Virginia Beach has certainly been an adventure especially during the summer months. The beach is somewhere I spend most of my off time during the summer and it’s certainly a place where you can find my friends as well. Baseball in the area of Virginia Beach is also fairly large making it somewhere I fit in well and can train and be apart of the local baseball community as I grow towards the end of my playing days.
As I conclude my introduction of myself I hope that this was a good way to get to know me on a personal level and I can’t wait to move this blog forward.
