Richard Jewell Film
The Richard Jewell film was an eye-opening film for me in the way that false news can be twisted in a way that can destroy lives and reputations. What happened to Richard Jewell was a perfect example of how publicity can always turn against one if it's handled the wrong way. Jewell being a manipulative and easy target to the media was taken advantage of by the media to spread false accusations about Jewell. The short leaded story about Jewell, his investigation by the FBI, and his unawareness of what they were involving him in giving the media a leg on Jewell leading to the spread of fake news. From what I've learned about Jewell's story is how dangerous media attention can be if you're put into the wrong spotlight. There was no sense of any ethical morality in this story, it was nothing more than a money run regardless of the damage of the situation.
